It is common knowledge that Vivek Oberoi doesn't smoke, and doesn't like it, in his personal life nor on screen. However, director Apoorva Lakhiya has finally convinced Vivek to smoke on screen, as can be seen in the upcoming release Shootout At Lokhandwala.

Because Vivek, who plays the Gangster Maya Dolas, does hate smoking so much he was quite apprehensive in the beginning about the smoking scenes. However, he obliged Apoorva by keeping in mind the requirement of the script and the fact the character is based on the life of a real Gangster.

Being an anti-smoking ambassador, Vivek was initially hesitating to do the smoking scenes on screen, however he has made this sacrifice for the role.
