In Anurag Basu's Metro, Irrfan Khan was seen in an interesting comic role and it seems the audiences are really impressed.

However, more than that, the actor has managed to greatly impress the king of comedy films, David Dhawan. So much so, that David has signed Irrfan for his next film.

Irrfan states that David Dhawan liked his role in Metro and approached him for one of his films. Irrfan, who loves comedy, enjoyed his character in Metro.

Known primarily for serious roles, Irrfan had previously taken on a full fledged comedy in Bhattacharya's Dubai Return, but it is yet to be released.

His forthcoming films are Rohit Shetty's Sunday, which is a thriller and Rakesh Roshan's Krazy 4.
