"When I started writing I had Hrithik's image in my mind, but as the script developed it became obvious that Shah Rukh was more suited to play the part," Farhan said in an interview.

Although King Khan will be our Don, one has to wonder what our own 'superhero' Hrithik Roshan would have done with the role. Would he have been able to give the role that edge it requires?

We are all waiting with bated breath for the Dewali/Eid release of Don. The film has been making headlines since it was announced.

The film carries a new, contemporary look, with plenty of action and stunts, Matrix like effects and new renditions of two tracks from the original film. It has generated unbridled enthusiasm and curiosity amongst the audience. Only time will tell if its fate at the box-office will be a good one.

The film hits the screens on 20th October.
