At the age of 14, Saroji Khan started doing choreography. However, she had to go to Dubai for family reasons.

Saroji said, "I decided to go to Dubai and work as a secretary there. Dance was my life, but what to do, I had to arrange for money."

The original Don had just released while she was in Dubai. "I was totally fascinated by the Khaike paan Banaraswala... song. I went to watch the song again and again and again.

Finally the theatre manager, who seemed to have noticed me, said, 'I will keep an extra chair for you. You can just watch the song and go away. You don't need to buy a ticket.'" Saroj returned to India in 1979 and started choreographing again. Providentially, she has choreographed the same song for Farhan Akhtar's Don. However, she hasn't copied the original choreography by PL Raj.

"I could have done that, but I didn't. The situation is very similar. Only Amitabh's and Shah Rukh Khan's body language is very different. Shah Rukh has done a good job - he is a good dancer."
