It seems filmmaker Suneel Darshan is upset with reports that Upen Patel is playing a gay character in his next film.

"It's a vicious campaign to ruin Upen's career. Just because things are looking up for him, some jealous people are out to get him."

The news may not be true, but why would such a statement be a "vicious" campaign that would "ruin" Upen's career?

It would seem someone has a bit of a 'phobia'. Most actors would see playing gay as just another role, and not one that would ruin their careers. If this were the case, someone should have warned SRK.
