Prime Witness Turns Hostle In Salman Case
Wednesday, a prime witness in the Salma Khan hit-and-run case did not support the prosecution in the trial court and was therefore declared hostile.Mohammed Muslim Niyat Shaikh, who was injured when the actor allegedly rammed his car into a bakery on September 28, 2002, told the Mumbai court that as his leg was injured in the incident and the passersby had surrounded him, he had not seen the person driving.
Immediately, the prosecution declared him hostile and Salman's lawyer, Dipesh Mehta, then cross-examined him.
On 3 January, prosecution shall examine another witness who was also injured in the incident.
On September 28, 2002, one person was killed and four injured when Salman allegedly rammed his car into the bakery whilst driving drunk.
