Another super-hero in the offing ? this time in Marathi Krrish brought the concept of the desi superhero to light, and it definitely set a benchmark with its special effects. Now, director Mahesh Kothare is set to direct a Marathi film featuring a superhero and special effects as well.

Mahesh said, "My film is titled Zabardast and will go on floors on December 13."

When asked about the cost of special effects, he was reluctant to discuss it. "All I can say is that my film is going to be about 3 times more costlier that a regular Marathi film. There will be lots of 3D effects, cable and mechanical effects as well as digital compositing. Along with that there will be dance and music as well," is all he would say. Word has it that A.R. Rehman was going to be roped in for the film music. "That is true but Rehman does only Hindi and south language films. So he is thinking about this offer."

It is not widely known that Mahesh Kothare is also planning to make a Hindi film with Boman Irani and Tusshar Kapoor in the lead. "Yes, that film is titled Front Page and will go on floors in March 2007."
