"Don" is fearless. So strongly does he believe in his own abilities and strengths, he is not afraid to take risks and chances, even to the point of risking to his own life.

In order to be true to his character, Shah Rukh Khan decided to do the death-defying stunts himself on the sets of Don.

Previously I told you about him shooting out of the sky in a 15,000 foot drop he performed himself!

Now he has been playing with fire!

Don producer, Ritesh Sidhwani, says: "We wanted to give it the real effect, so we were wondering if Shah Rukh should do the stunts himself. If we had done it with a body double, we wouldn't be able to show the close-ups. Then Shah Rukh said that he wants to do it himself. Obviously we were a little anxious, but the fact that he's an excellent driver helped the matter a lot. We had taken extra safety measures, all the fire extinguishers and the other safety measures were in place. Our action director from Australia was there to guide him. Shah Rukh himself was very confident of pulling it off successfully. Finally, we managed to do it after a day's shoot."

King Khan had said in an earlier interview about doing action scenes in Don, "The film offered me the opportunity to do some coarse action and that's something my son would like too see too. It also gave me a chance to prove to myself that I am still as good as I was a few years back."
