You maby remeber that when Shah Rukh was shooting KANK, his line up for the year was to be to move on to Farah Khan's Happy New Year, then Don and then on too Om Shanti Om.

However, toward the end of th summer, things changed and Happy New Year was scrapped and replaced the Chak De! Indai.

Now the new SRK-Farah Khan project, Om Shanti Om is very much in the news, however many have wondered what happened to the other project that the duo were to do for Khan's flagship production banner. Shah Rukh has said before, and recently repeated, it just didn't work out.

When asked, the King himself was happy to set the record straight. "We couldn't work it out intelligently enough. We worked on it for about six months but we couldn't come to a great ending. The casting had not taken place and it was supposed to be shot in America for six months; I was not very keen on going & spending so much of my time there right away; so we thought we'll keep it for later. It's not shelved; it's just on a backburner."

So the rumor mills can stop churning out more stories about this.
