- How do you determine which reviews count for the final grade of a movie?
For a review to be counted for a film's rating, it has to meet three criteria. First it has to be from an accredited website. Blogs and personal reviews are not counted. Also, large sites that have poorly written reviews will also not be counted.
The second criteria is that the review must have a rating from the reviewer, and they must be able to give fractional (i.e. 2.5, 3.5, etc.) reviews.
The third criteria is that they must regularly review Hindi films. For that reason, many International reviews are not counted for a movie's grade, since they don't review Hindi films often enough. This is to be fair as possible for all hindi films.
Reviews that don't meet all three criteria will still be added in the 'Other Reviews' section for a film. However these reviews are not counted towards the film's grade.
We also only count up to two reviews from any one site. In the event that a site has more than two reviews, only the first two published are used.
Please note that these standards were implemented on 26th June, 2008. Films released before this date may have reviews that don't fit the criteria specified above.

- How do you determine which reviews count for the final grade of a movie soundtrack?
Music grades are tallied the same way as movie grades mentioned above. The only difference is that we do not have an 'Other Reviews' section for music. So only reviews that are from an accredited website that has a rating from the reviewer that regularly reviews Hindi music are counted.

- How do you determine if a review is positive, average or negative?
For reviews that give a rating, a positive review is considered one where the rating is above a 2.9 (out of 5), an average review is one where the rating is between 2.25 - 2.9 (out of 5) and a negative is where the rating is below a 2.25. If they don't give a rating, then the editor determines if the review is positive or not. Any reviews without a rating are not counted to a film's grade if the film was released after 26th June 2008, when these standards were implemented.
