Sanjay Takes Kidnap Role To Heart
By Krishna Jewel | September 27, 2008
Sanjay Takes Kidnap Role To HeartSanjay Dutt feels close to his role in Sanjay Gadhvi's Kidnap since he can really identified with his character; he plays a father whose daughter is with held from him – first by his wife and then by a kidnapper.

Director Sanjay Gadhvi said, "During the shooting of Kidnap, Sanjay kept asking me, 'What if my daughter, Trishala, gets kidnapped?' Every time Sanjay would look at Minissha Lamba (who plays his daughter in Kidnap), he was reminded of his daughter."

As a result, often Sanju would break down and cry while shooting a few of the emotional scenes.

"Baba's ties with his daughter have grown much more stronger over the years," said Gadhvi.

And Sanju had such a great time with the character in Kidnap, he wants to play a father again.

Reportedly, the actor is interested in to do a Hindi version of Steve Martin's comedy, Father of the Bride, a film about an over possessive father who cannot accept it when his darling daughter brings home a fiancé.
