Mumbai, Aug 29 (IANS) Well-known Marathi actress Jaishree Gadkar died early Friday at her home in Dadar, central Mumbai, following prolonged illness, a family source said.The 66-year-old actress had worked in over 250 Marathi movies as well as a few Hindi movies.

Critically acclaimed for her role in "Sadhi Manasa" and "Paishacha Paus", Jaishree had won the V. Shantaram Award, a national award and a Maharashtra government award.
