Recently, John Abraham shot a very unusual and unique scene for Anurag Kashyap’s movie No Smoking.

In the film, there is a flashback scene in the film in which both John, who is playing a chain smoker trying to kick the habit, and his friend Ranvir Shorey are shown smoking their first cigarettes as adolescents.

While any other filmmaker would have used child artistes or visual effects to shoot the scene, Anurag Kashyap, known for his experimental streak, decided to shoot the scene using John and Ranvir only.

Apparently, instead of making the scene realistic, Kashyap wanted it to give a farcical look. Rather than working on their physical appearance, Kashyap told John and Ranvir to act like juveniles. So, both the actors awoke their juvenile tendencies and began behaving like two 12-year-olds trying to smoke their first cigarette.

Kashyap canned the shot and was happy with the result.

Indeed, he goes on to say that it is one of the best scenes in the film, additionally, everyone who has seen it has liked it a lot.
