'Kabul Express', 'Baabul' mixed with critics, 'Aryan' slumps

'Kabul Express', 'Baabul' mixed with critics, 'Aryan' slumpsThe much awaited John Abraham-Arshad Warsi starrer Kabul Express opened last Friday to decent reviews, although a tad disappointing. With 25 critics reviews in as of this writing, Kabul Express is at a 57%, which is above average. However, the film had a pretty good opening at the box office, and may be another winner for Yashraj Films. According to BoxOfficeIndia.com, the film had a opening ranging from 60-80% at most places and the film may be profitable after the first week itself. The general feeling is that the classes should appreciate the film, while the masses will not. For all the latest news and critics reviews for Kabul Express, click here.

Meanwhile, the much delayed Sohail Khan starrer Aryan opened to a miserable response at both the box office and with the critics. It is currently at a 27%, which is bad. For all news and reviews for Aryan, click here.

Baabul doesn't look like it will enjoy the success of Ravi Chopra's previous hit, Baghban. The film has done average with the critics, and the box office prospects don't look too hot. With the critics, it is at a 53%, which is barely above average. To say that the reviews have been mixed has never been more appropriate, as it has 35 reviews and 18 of them are positive while 17 are negative.

At the box office, BoxOfficeIndia.com is reporting that it did poor first week business. It did slightly better in the Mumbai circuit, but even there the collections have dropped badly. It may recover its costs in Mumbai but elsewhere it is a losing fare. Overseas however, the film is a big hit. For all news and reviews for Baabul, click here.
