Men Change Their Ways For Ash
By Krishna Jewel | November 04, 2006
Men Change Their Ways For AshIt appears that Aishwarya Rai is so gorgeous she is able to make men change their ways. The former beauty queen made J.P. Dutta change the genre of his films, leading him to make Umrao Jaan.

"Aishwarya is my Helen of Troy whose face stopped me from going to war again," quipped Dutta, director of war-themed magnum opuses like Border and LoC Kargil.

At Thrusdays premier of the film in Dubai, attended by Ash and Abhishek Bachchan, Dutta said the former 'Miss World' made him change his genre when at last she consented to do the film; a film he had been planning for 13 years.

Ash flew in from Mumbai following the celebrations of her 33rd birthday on November 1, laughing off inqueries as to whether she would be a contender for the Oscars in future.

When asked when he and Ash were getting married, Abhishek retorted, "You tell us, since you have been telling us that since the past year."

When the questioned arose about his being branded the 'sexiest man in Asia', junior Bachchan said, "It is not true; but thank you for making me feel embarrassed."

Earlier this year, Abhishek topped the list of the '50 Sexiest Men in Asia' in a survey by Eastern Eye, Britain's most popular Asian newspaper.

At the time, Abhishek had responded to the outcome of the poll, "It's shocking. Are people blind?"

In addition to Umrao Jaan, Ash and Abhishek will also be seen in Dhoom 2 at the end of this month, however, they are not paired opposite each other.
