Mumbai: In an unusual move, producer Kumar Mangat has taken a que from the title of his forthcoming film and has strictly banned smoking on the sets of No Smoking.The director Kashyap told an online news service, "Yes its true our producer Kumar Mangat has strictly banned smoking on the sets of his movie No Smoking and strictly warned that anyone who breaks the rule will have to pay a fine". There is a penalty of Rs 500 for each time one is caught smoking. I have already paid Rs 1000 because I was caught twice, and Kumar Mangat also gives a receipt for the same. Our co-producer Vishal Bharadwaj was also caught once in front of me, and he also paid the penalty of Rs 500.The money collected will go to a needy charity."
"The movie is an anti-smoking film with a message. It's a peculiar thriller about an arrogant, selfish man played by John Abraham, who's a chain smoker. He agrees to give it up and go into rehab to save his marriage," adds the director.
No Smoking stars John Abraham and Ayesha Takia. Anurag Kashyap is directing the film, which is also jointly produced by Kumar Mangat and Vishal Bharadwaj.
