Aamir Khan will wed his friend and assistant director of 'Lagaan', Kiran Rao. The wedding date will be January 1, 2006 in Wai (at the hill station of Panchgani), where the couple fell in love.

Aamir has booked every single hotel room at the hill station there for guests expected from all around the country. Hotel bookings are confirmed from December 24th onwards to accommodate guests arriving at different stages of the celebrations. It is expected that the who's who of the entertainment industry will be present at the wedding.

Aamir recently divorced his wife of over a decade, Reena, with whom the actor has two children.

Aamir's last release was 'Mangal Pandey - The Rising' and will next be seen in Rakesh Mehra's Rang De Basanti.
