Aamir Invites Big B To Special Screening
Aamir Khan, producer of Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na which will mark the debut of his nephew Imran Khan, has invited Amitabh Bachchan to a special screening of the film.~~~Reportedly, Aamir has also congratulated Bachchan for Sarkar Raj.~~~Aamir's relations with the senior Bachchan became a bit strained last year after Aamir criticized the director and actors of Black for 'their insensitive portrayal of children with disabilities'.~~~Most industry watchers believe Aamir Khan's so called 'callous' criticism was nothing more than a stunt to focus attention on his film Taare Zameen Par, which was due to be released then.~~~Aamir later apologized to Bachchan and dropped by to meet him on the set of one of his films.

"Apologies! Apologies!" From Amitabh
New Delhi: Bollywood icon, Amitabh Bachchan, was rather occupied with the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards in Bangkok as its brand ambassador, and so was unable to keep up with his blog. Normally a regular blogger, Amitabh was only able to add one entry when he reached Bangkok Friday morning. "I arrived here at 7:00 in the morning on the 6th, went straight to press meets and forum meetings for IIFA, inaugurating the business forum of IIFA amongst the corporate world of both India and Thailand," he wrote in his 6 June entry. The actor quickly summed up his string of activities at the beginning of the first day of the event. "I am overwhelmed by the reactions of the people and the media and am now rushing off for more activities," he stated. In his entry titled "Apologies! Apologies!" Amitabh explained his plight to his fans. "I need time to put everything down in detail for you. Bear with me please." And signed off, "Amitabh Bachchan, in great appreciation of your kind indulgence and your patience!"

Amitabh Comments On Kamal Haasan
When Amitabh Bachchan was asked to comment on Kamal Haasan's work at Dasavathaaram's audio launch held on April 25th, 2008, the acting legend heaped praises on him.~~~"He is an example to all of us. Whatever he does, he does it to perfection. When I saw the trailer, I was astonished. It was very nice and grand. I was totally taken in. He is the only one who can acomplish this. Every year, he brings us new surprises. He does new experiments all the time that no one else other than him can do. Though we keep trying to do astonishing things like this, we are unable to do it. But he does it with élan. It looks very nice on the screen. After seeing the trailer, I want to see more of this movie. And it arouses a wish to work with Kamal Haasan. It would be such a pleasant experience."~~~Then Kamal Hasaan replied in his own humble manner. "I always have been a fan and admirer of Amitabh Sir. I have seen his movie Deewar so many times. He is such an inspiration to lakhs of people. I never thought that one day I would hear these words of praise from him. I never had an idea that I would share the stage with him. It is too nice and good to believe. It feels very great to be praised by someone whom you see as an legend and inspiration. I am not able to believe that all this is happening. But I want stay calm, enjoy all that he has to say about me at the moment and bask in his compliments. I want to live this moment in which he has said so many nice things about me. It is unbelievable. I am very happy."~~~He also added that Amitabh Bachchan fills the place of Sivaji Ganesan. He wished him good health and long life and wanted him to guide Tamil filmdom.

Ash Disappoints Smith Once Again
Aishwarya Rai again declines to star with Will Smith Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has once again declined a part opposite Hollywood star Will Smith. Two years ago, Smith offered Ash a role in his comedy Hitch. Unfortunately, Ash could not accept due to time constraints. At the time, a besotted Smith said of the beauty queen in an interview, "Aishwarya has this powerful energy and doesn't have to say anything, or do anything, she can just stand there. Anything she's making, I’ll be there." However, since then Ash turned down two more Will Smith projects. In a news report Ash is quoted as saying, "I had to say no to Will for The Seven Pounds, and now again for Tonight He Comes (Smith's super-hero flick re-named John Hancock). I feel awful about it. But I've my priorities. Family always comes first." However, contrary to reports, Ash didn't decline the film to celebrate Karwa Chauth in Mumbai. "That's what the Hollywood press wrote...that I preferred to return to Mumbai to 'starve' myself for a religious occasion than to meet Will. That's incorrect. The script reading was just after Diwali when Dadima's (Teji Bachchan's) health dipped. So I didn't make that trip for the reading with Will. Is that wrong? Not to me. I'd any day put family over career." In regard to Tonight He Comes (aka John Hancock), Ash had to say no due to her hectic schedule. "I couldn't do it because of my schedules. Flying in and out of the country for a role is not what I want to do now," the Bachchan bahu said.Aishwarya Rai again declines to star with Will Smith Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has once again declined a part opposite Hollywood star Will Smith. Abhi-Ash To Star In Mani Ratnam's Next
After Guru, Mani Ratnam was bound to return to his favourite actor, Abhishek Bachchan. Abhi and Mani Ratnam will team up once again for a third film together. After Yuva (which Abhishek describes as his career's first turning-point) then Guru (which he acknowledges as his second turning-point), one can certianly see the creative and commercial viability of another Mani-Abhishek pairing. Mani Ratnam lost his brother earlier this year, now coming out of his bereavement, he is set to announce a romantic film that starts shooting in September featuring Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan. According to a source very close to the project, "It's going to be a very intense love story. Where Guru was more a bio-pic with a cavalcade of characters claiming screen space, this film will focus primarily on the romance. It's a very intense film. Mani's most romantic film to date. And yes, it's again based on real life characters."
