| Arshard Warsi started out his career as a member of a dance group in Mumbai. He later went on to acting and starred in Amitabh Bachchan's first production Tere Mere Sapne (1996). He acted in several other films over the next six years which failed to do well at the box office till 2003 when he starred in the comedy film Munnabhai MBBS which was a huge box office success and gained him much critical acclaim. He has since appeared in several successful films such as Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya (2005), Salaam Namaste (2005), Golmaal, and Lage Raho Munnabhai (2006)for which he won a Fimfare Award for Best Comedian. Warsi is married to Maria Goretti, who is a MTV personality and Bollywood actress. |
