Akshaye Khanna is the youngest son of veteran actor Vinod Khanna, and younger brother to actor Rahul Khanna. His debut film was Himalaya Putra (1997), Khanna went on to work in several critically and commercially successful movies like J. P. Dutta's Border (1997), Subhash Ghai's Taal (1999) ,Dil Chahta Hai (2001), and Race (2008). Khanna is also the winner of two Filmfare Awards.
